New Version 18.10.17
Hello, there is a new version out on Steam and itch right now. This version is post-feature-freeze which means we’ve focused exclusively on bug fixes, some balance and GUI tweaks, and the removal of some unstable features. We’ve also made some features (like auto-digging and auto-farming) optional.
Changes
- Bug: Fix bug that allowed player to sell coins.
- Tweak: Sort factions by active expeditions rather than by just distance to capital.
- Tutorials: simply, cleanup and expand lots of tutorial text and images.
- Upgrade FNA binaries for linux and mac.
- Bug: Fix bug that was preventing chickens from laying eggs.
- Bug: Fix tutorial image scaling when gui scale is something other than 1x.
- Bug: Fix edge artifacts appearing on some sprites when MSAA is enabled.
- Tweak: make dwarfs auto-dig less often.
- Tweak: In walk mode, shift now toggles the mouse rather than having to hold down shift to use the mouse.
- Bug: fix traders from the motherland sometimes leaving the world saying there is no balloon port when there is.
- Bug: Fix numerous issues with GUI overflowing at lower resolutions or at large GUI scales.
- Bug: Fix shift-click and control-click on the trade screen in linux and mac.
- Bug: Fix issue with window scaling due to windows high dpi mode.
- Bug: Fix numerous crashes when minimizing the game.
- Bug: Fix lots of instances of artwork disappearing when minimizing the game or moving the game window.
- Bug: Fix crash when balloon returns from adventure when there is no balloon port.
- Tweak: Widen space given to tool icons.
- Tweak: Change tool icon text so there is no more unnecessary shortening.
- Tweak: Add missing artwork for tool icons.
- Bug: Fix state of voxel selector not getting cleaned up properly when the destroy tool is used.
- Tweak: Remove the “start underground” feature entirely, as it was causing lots of unforseen AI issues.
- Tweak: Remove the “follow dwarf” feature, because it doesn’t work well in a lot of cases.
- Tweak: Limit minimum resolution based on width rather than height.
- Bug: Fix UI popups going crazy while using the move object tool.
- Bug: Fix dwarfs waking up randomly during the night during “skip to day” feature.
- Bug: Fix crash on load when using a summoning circle.
- Tweak: “Apothecary” is now spelled correctly.
- Bug: Fix bad interactions in UI while pressing ESC key while a tutorial is active.
- Bug: Fix employee screen being frozen while an employee is on an expedition.
- Bug: Fix frozen employee sprites that occur when sending them on expeditions.
- Performance: Update some trivial objects less often than dwarfs.
- Bug: Fix voxel selector so that you can actually cancel build wall orders.
- Bug: Fix crash that occurs 3-4 hours into the game due to integer overflow.
- Bug: Do not save corrupt settings when for some reason saving settings fails.
- Bug: Fix rare crash when trying to determine which factions are inside the player’s territory.
- Bug: Fix some inconsistency with destroying zones using right click or using the destroy zone tool.
- Bug: Fix rare crash when spawning on very low ground near bedrock.
- Tweak: Fix incorrect tutorial text that contained escape characters.
- Tweak: disallow building underwater or in water.
- Bug: Fix ladders generating under the earth in caves from the initial balloon port.
- Tweak: Allow the player to disable auto-digging and auto-farming in the settings menu.
- Tweak: Move the “Apply” button to the top of the options screen.
